Major Divergences from Baseline Cyberpunk 2020

First off, no nomads. They always felt too post-apocalyptic to me. Apocalypse strikes me as too cataclysmic for cyberpunk; everything’s always just slowly eroding, forever and ever, amen. If you’re poor, you can’t afford to really move around a lot. You’re stuck in Chicago or Night City or rotting slowly in the depopulated countryside. The USA is more densely populated and less fragmented (though the government is still fairly weak, states rights effectively no longer exist) than in baseline Cyberpunk 2020 here.

Secondly, I kept the USSR around a lot longer. Gibson’s trilogy mentions a brief US-Soviet war, and I preferred that (with the EU ending it) to the Orbital War as written.

Also; eurobucks? I think we can call them euro.
